This seems like a safe, responsible thing to do, and probably my favorite thing about it is that there couldn't be unintended consequences.


The "good" news is they didn't transg-enic-plant the whole system--which would be crazy difficult--or create a toy reimplementation.

Instead did a spot-patch for "imagine if the plant could have generated this antibody on its own."

So kind of like checking that you're dog can wear a sweater, rather than creating a race of textile-weaving terriers.
