Twitter users are all angry, that's the point of the platform.

Anyway, this (sort of spoiler alert) is basically the same thing as what the joker did in The Dark Night, he thought people were assholes that would fight one another to save themselves and he was wrong. Only politicians do that.


People have a very strong tendency to think that everyone else is largely the same as they are, so when someone asserts that "everyone is like X", the meaningful thing they're really saying is that they are like X.


The character limit incentivizes content that's polarizing and evokes strong emotions, because you are competing for attention without the ability to express subtleties/details.
