We got inspired to create a landing page builder to help us test startup ideas. Our goal is to build tools to help you quickly validate a concept and engage with potential users.

LampBuilder is a free and fast landing page generator that aims to become a go-to tool for kick starting new ideas. We plan to keep the landing page generator and custom domain hosting free forever.

Future plans are to add more components, a code base download option, waitlist functionality, pre-order payments/subscriptions and to expand into a MVP product builder. It will be great to hear your feedback on what tool-set would best help you validate your startup ideas.

Building landing pages is what I do for a living. I've been building something similar, a landing page editor of sorts, though it's a bit more advanced and requires knowledge of HTML and CSS, less the actual editing done on the page.

I love concept of what you have built. It's very basic but I really like the simplicity and use of white space. And it's especially great for onboarding those who don't need or want to write/know HTML or CSS knowledge in order to use it.

Seems you're still way early in the beta stages as I'm getting errors:

Something went wrong! Try again

But you are definitely on the right path. Stick to editing on page, more color theme availability would be great, even a dark theme, or several more contrasts would be nice. I don't see the abiliy to drag and drop but I'd like to be able to move a section up or down.

It always nice to give things away for free or have a free version of something, though stick with the idea of charging something ... keeps you motivated to add more stuff as you evolve... so the $12 a month could be a great start with an even more featured-ladden plan added.

I was not able to view a "live version" of my landing page so I can't provide too much more feedback other than on the generator and editing itself. I do see a great product in the works!

Hi Matt, thanks for taking the time to test it out for giving detailed feedback!

It looks like your page triggered a bug in our publish flow. I've applied a fix and so your published site should be working again now.

Thanks for the encouragement and the suggestions, it's great to hear from someone who builds landing pages from a living! They're all good suggestions and we'll keep them in mind as we iterate on the product.

I'm assuming you threw this together very quickly in order to see if there was interest, which is great.

However, it's a landing page builder, and your own landing page isn't exactly compelling.

It is so easy to build a simple landing page on squarespace, wix, canva (I think), etc.

So what am I getting with LampBuilder? Can you show examples of what I'll get, if it is better than what you are showing on your own landing page?

You're right, our own landing page is very simple and so are the landing pages we generate.

It's also a very competitive space with online website builders like Squarespace, Wix, Typeform and many, many others. With this early version of LampBuilder, our main differentiators are the startup focus, the speed with which you can get your site ready and the fact that we're free for use with custom domains.

Your suggestion of examples on the home page is a good one. We'll also need to work hard to ensure there is a compelling enough reason for startups to choose LampBuilder over all the other options for landing pages.

Interesting and well done on the launch! Something similar to this https://super.so Would be cool if instead of simply inputting a title and description the ai guides you trough a few questions to best capture site details. Getting the site copy ready can be really hard, just that is a product worth looking at imo.

While interesting this would not allow you to differentiate yourself or standout. This is good for a service business or a mobile app where the web page just has to sort of exist.

Here is an example I made:

There are many tools to rapidly make ugly landing pages. There are not many tools to carefully make beautiful landing pages.

Gave it a try, cool site.

Not a fan of the image generation though, maybe let us fine the prompts for them.

Thanks! That's good feedback, currently the images are selected from the open source collection at https://undraw.co, but as a next step we'll add the option for AI generated images.
