I would love to see some merging of OLED and e-ink. Such that you could watch videos or browse the web in traditional video screen, then switch to e-ink for reading an ebook or a long article, on the same screen. Coding in e-ink could be quite pleasant too given quick enough refresh rates.
The first question I would ask is 'How long does the page-change take to do?'
If it's as long as the Kindle takes, then you're restricted to page-at-a-time changes, rather than moving a mouse around on the desktop and following the cursor.
Maybe we could use something like the digital TV method where only the changes get promulgated. But I don't know whether that can be done or not with this newer version.
