Running the AC hard or driving at 80mph instead of 60mph can have a pretty big impact on range in an ICE vehicle but nobody really seems to care. A ton of people don't get the EPA rated mileage on their cars in their day to day driving habits, ergo they don't get the EPA listed range of their gas cars, but there's seemingly no organized outrage about that.
When I fill up my gasoline car it claims 400 miles of range and I have never once gotten 300 before the needle hitting empty. (And I severely doubt the extra range on E is 100 miles…) Nobody is going after my car for lying about range…
