This is great. Finally kills off the last remaining user of CHAdeMO that I'm aware of in the US. In terms of unification of charging standards, killing off CHAdeMO is indisputably a good idea. It has literally no advantages over CCS1 or NACS and only disadvantages. Even if CCS1 sticks around (which is seeming less likely by the day) this means charging station vendors can slowly kill off CHAdeMO.


I actually thought Nissan had already killed CHAdeMO (they are using CCS on the Ariya). But you’re right, the Leaf is still being sold with CHAdeMO as the only way to DC fast charge: https://electrek.co/2023/06/26/nissan-leaf-exists-2024-chade...
