Ask HN: Best place to sell domain names?

I have a few domain names that I have been holding on to for a few years and I think it's about time to let them go. Wondering if there is a good marketplace to just list them and make some cash for a new hobby.

You got several great platforms for selling domain names, such as GoDaddy, Sedo, and Flippa. Each has its unique features and user base, so it's worth exploring and comparing them to find the best fit for your needs.

Don't forget to consider fees, ease of use, and the potential reach of buyers!

Agreed, I've sold on each of those platforms.

Godaddy gets the most traffic but not a lot of "prestige" domains. Good for cheap domains or ones you think could get bid up a lot.

Flippa I like, lots of sales to other domainers. Full site sales are good here as well and their broker service offers good protection. Better for mid-tier domains IMO.

Sedo is the site where most high value domains that aren't a private sale get listed. If you have a solid, valuable domain that could fetch $xx,xxx then try here.

Wherever you registered them might have a marketplace... GoDaddy and Namecheap definitely have one. Sedo.com and Flippa.com are also other ones to list your domains. I'm sure you can still find some good domains out there... especially with AI domains.

I am here to tell you there is a dan.com

no need to be shy...just dumpem here
