It's kind of nuts how even when NASA says "we need this to be undisturbed because it keeps our weather satellites and others working" other parties are crying about it. Like, is there no chance that the opposing party response can be "Oh shit, yeah NASA's got a good point. Let's go find a different place".


"Let's go find a different place" as if lithium can be mined from anywhere? There are select few places within the United States that lithium can be mined at scale.
