More than 0,5 million parameters and advertisers still think I am a woman.


I wish they had some API to tell me my labels :D


Check out Googles Topics API [1] (available in chrome). It spits out a list of advertising topics based on your browsing history. [1] https://developer.chrome.com/docs/privacy-sandbox/topics/


You can request your data file from Oracle’s ad data mining platform [0] and it includes your segment labeles.

I didn’t even know Oracle collected this stuff. And it’s also completely identified so you can do stuff like buy stuff like individual, specific people’s profiles (eg, “give me everything you know about prepend”)

Damn, ok, good to know that advertisers are keeping track of how smart or messed up you are.


Some of these feel quite black mirror-y


The ad-pocalypse has been happening for about 10 years. The interesting results from this particular event is that we all have first hand experience how horribly invasive systems can be created and utilized without concerns of the majority of people or governments; we're strangely lucky to get this insight into how complex societies can be perverted
