People here likely know SponsorBlock but I suppose many don't turn on all of the skippable segments that SponsorBlock can also skip, which aren't necessarily on by default. I save so much time not having to watch all of the filler content that's unrelated to the actual video topic at hand.
It's especially nice on mobile, with ReVanced on Android.
Is ReVanced the new incarnation of Vanced? (Vanced finally stopped working yesterday, and I don't know what to trust.)
For the record, I pay for YouTube premium, but I love being able to automatically skip the drivel (like, share, and subscribe blah blah blah).
I also loved having 2 YouTube apps: The official as well as Vanced. I could stop one video, open another video in the other app, and then immediately come back to the previous video. It's like browser tabs. I honestly don't know why apps don't have that functionality. Or the OS support running multiple copies of the same app. Imagine Microsoft Excel only allowing you to open one file at a time!
Correct, ReVanced is the new incarnation of Vanced, be sure to download the manager app and patch your own YouTube APK so that you trust it. Typically I download the recommended APK from APKMirror rather than patching the most recently updated version from the Play Store since it usually will not work with the Revanced manager app.
Regarding multiple apps, some Android distributions have that feature, I believe in Samsung it's called Parallel Apps.
