They need to invest into better optimized delivery systems..

I want to CHOOSE when I will RECEIVE my item, not just the day, but the hour, so I can show up and avoid useless "return to sender" message, I don't know how it is for other countries, but it's a pain when the window is: 8h to 20h.. like what I am supposed to do? Take the entire day off and sit next to my phone?

In the US they just leave the package on your porch, at your door, or with your doorman.

In Australia their delivery sucked and you had to go to the post office and sign for a package. Those sucked because, exactly like you said, it’s not convenient to have to go when the post office is only open during your work hours. And carrying packages back 1-2 km from the post office sucked too.

They need to fix their reviews. It's only going to get worse with AI.

They have a serious junk review problem. I do a search, and the first item that shows up has a bunch of 5-star reviews... but what I really need to know is, "How was this item reviewed by people like me?"

Maybe reviews by people in my Language + Zip Code / City + Age Group seems like it would be a good place to start. "This product got a 4-star general review, and a 1.5 star review from other suburban men in Texas." That'd be HUGE for me.

There should also be real penalties for sellers faking reviews... delete the review, obviously, but also maybe flag the seller in some way that indicates they have a high probability of generating fake comments.

It's rough, Amazon has so many "junk" products on their site. In my dream world, Amazon would adopt some 90s-era Costco policy where they only sell items they can stand behind. Their own certification and testing that far exceeds any other standards.

But that's not how capitalism works. =P It's just how I wish capitalism worked.
