A shame that this is gone, though I am surprised it was allowed to last as long as it did. I have almost entirely stopped visiting reddit on my phone now; the new interface is unbearable, while old.reddit.com remains almost unusable.
These days I mostly use Sync for reddit Dev version. It has a minimally invasive interface, good looking light/dark modes, and reasonable gestures for votes and so forth.
Annoying that I have to use an app for a website, sign of the times I guess
