Reminds me of those 80s adventure games that always had one hard puzzle and when you finally found out the answer was really annoyed by how random and insignificant it was.


Yeah, I spent a lot of time banging my head against the wall of Zork, and in the end felt it was a "guess what I'm thinking" pastime that was not worth my time.


Yep, I had the same experience with Zork--for me it was "echo". I was playing too rationally and not just trying too many random things "for fun".


A good adventure game is hard to make difficult and satisfying I think. I remember having a lot of trouble with monkey island puzzles until I figured out the game “logic”. But once you do, all the clues are there and it’s great.

If I need to know about random facts or topics or whatever, that’s not hard. That’s just annoying or the author is trying to prove how much smarter they are than you.

Like an Encyclopedia Brown or Sherlock mystery, the explanations make sense in retrospect. I will give it another go when I have the time/patience.


Why is the logo image in Level 10 desaturated? I was sure that meant something, but it doesn't seem like it did.

It happens :) I spent 1.5 days on level 23. And now stuck on level 35 for 2 days. Sometimes things are really very simple, but we complicate them. Sometimes we make mistake while typing the answer, like I did on level 26. That extra space in my answer took my whole day.

Does anybody have a hint for level 28? I've been stuck for a few days and, while I can see that they're boolean diagrams, I'm not entirely sure what to do next. So far as I can tell, they don't simplify.

I’m still stuck. Are the words in it supposed to correspond to the diagrams? I considered that perhaps I was being prompted to come up with binary representations of the diagrams but I’m not sure.

Any tips for level 26? I've been playing around with the idea that the three numbers represent coordinates but without much luck. Also, the 'inverse' thing is throwing me off.

Made it through the first 9 levels with only a little stumbling (as the author has indicated, there are plenty of little hints).

Level 10 has got me quite stuck though! I think I have an idea what needs to be done, but I'm stuck on trial and error with the exact details.

That said, there's something deliberate that I know is a hint and doesn't figure into my thinking... I don't yet know what it means.

Frustrating, but fun :).


10 was difficult in a different way than the prior puzzles, and honestly was a little chilling once I figured it out. Good luck, I'm sure you can get it!

I have been trying to find a game just like this from the mid 2000s for years now. I think it was called something like Qwyzle? I recall the format of the game being identical to this, of individual html pages and there were Facebook groups of working out of the 100 clues.

I recall GEB (Gödel Escher Bach) playing a key part in a lot of the puzzles?

A big part of my early internet experience sadly lost


Maybe you are thinking of zahada? It is as you describe, individual HTML pages solved by typing the correct answer into the address bar. It involved a lot of lateral thinking. Sometimes a bit unfair, but it was great fun trying to work this out over several sessions with a friend!

I can see that they're boolean logic diagrams, but I haven't gotten any further with figuring it out. I'd appreciate a hint too!

Thoughts: The URL is suspicious, may require changing the URL. The solution likely requires combining the boolean operators, but not sure how. I'm especially unclear how to use the words in the URL.
