I never said jewish people are the only ones that suffered persecution. As a jewish person it's my history and it's teh example I choose, especially because we were talking about... wait for it... anti-semitism.

> In fact, I hear anti white propoganda all the time, part of which is the fact that whites are overrepresented in finance.

> Oh, you do? This whole, "one side said one thing, so me, as a person on the other side, I'm gonna say my version of the thing, and people will have to take it seriously because it's fundamentally the same argument" really misses the point. My grandparents [..]

You used your own persecution to dismiss anti-white propaganda. Instead of using it as a lesson on the danger of propaganda targeting identity groups, you're using it as a cudgel, that because Jews had it worse, whites shouldn't complain when targeted by that same kind of propaganda.

> we were talking about... wait for it... anti-semitism.

No, we were talking about the double standards imposed upon ChatGPT. You want to restrict it to only anti-semitism, because ChatGPT's answers about Jews, in isolation, are defensible. Only when contrasted with the answers given about whites do the hypocrisy and malice become apparent - the same things it and you warned are so dangerous when done to Jews, it gleefully does to whites, and you defend it.

The point was that persecuted groups are actually persecuted. White people aren't a persecuted group. That doesn't become true just because you insist so and twisting my words around wont get you any closer.

I'm not restricting it only to jews, I was using Jews as an example of why it does make sense, which the poster I was discussing it with, disagreed over. The disagreement here is that white persecution is something made up by you and the other poster.

Dude I dont understand your trip. When people get on fucking television and say things like "we should start killing white people" or "white men are mysogonistic pigs" or "white people have no culture" etc how is that not racism?

Obviously white people arent being put in camps, but to say anti white racism is something I made up is patently absurd. This notion that a particular skin color has to be statistically disadvantaged or has to be historically attacked for their ethniticy in order for someome to be racust against them is insane.

Here is what you are literally saying "you can tell the truth about white people but its wrong to tell the truth about jews because it might turn people into anti semites"

Ironically kind of an anti semetic notion.

I don’t know what TV channels you watch, I don’t see anything like that. Weird how you come up with these as examples and say I’m on a trip…

It’s not absurd at all. Because the comparison is being made to anti-semitism and they are so clearly orders of magnitude off from each other that it defies common sense. I’m sure there are some people in the world racist against “white people”. You are disingenuous because you are comparing this to something like anti-semitism which is a centuries old tradition that has been acted out in societies repeatedly and even recently.

>“Here is what you are literally saying "you can tell the truth about white people but its wrong to tell the truth about jews because it might turn people into anti semites"

No, what I’m literally saying is that chatGPT doesn’t want to participate in what is likely to result in anti-semitic uses. That’s the whole point, that anti-semitism is current and popular and that chatGPT would contribute to it. ChatGPT doesn’t think people will magically turn into anti-semites because they will read factual information. ChatGPT is worried that it will end up relaying factual information in a way that will be used by anti-semites to demonstrate their points. This isn’t a difficult concept to understand. The problem isn’t the idea, the problem is how it will be used. ChatGPT, fairly, does not want to be involved in such uses. You had to make up a new kind of racism, that isn’t recognized, in order to rebut this totally fair position of theirs.

>“Dude I dont understand your trip.”

Do you go outside and express this idea? Like do you go up to people unsolicitedly and whine about your made up white racism? I wonder how you think people would react that you think I’m on “such” a trip.
