In addition to the usual people making constant demands and generally being rude and unappreciative, there's one person in particular in the community who is especially relentless.
They're known for being non-stop rude practically on a daily basis, have been doing so for years across multiple projects, evading bans with multiple accounts, impersonating other people in the community. This person is relentless in being rude to developers and doesn't seem to show any remorse or understanding.
I understand the dev's frustrations. I used to run several small free software projects and the amount of entitlement from people is stunning. The number of emails I got _demanding_ that I drop everything to fix a "bug" that was someone not reading the instructions, someone calling me racial slurs because the code didn't do something I never claimed it did, and someone sending me explicit rape threats because I rejected their pull request.
I stopped running free software projects. I'll do some drive-by commits (under a nym) for libraries or tools I use that are run by someone else, but other than that, I'm happy keeping my work to myself at this point. Life's too short to let the assholes in.
I have some github projects. I deny/delete all PRs and delete all issues, sight unseen. Been there before on other projects, don't want to deal with that toxin again. Any email received regarding the code is deleted and the sender blocked. It is the only way to maintain sanity. In the same way that you do, I have a couple of github accounts under pseudonyms that I will make some drive-by commits from (usually bug fixes) to other open source projects that I don't want to be connected with. As you say, life's too short.
I’ve only made a couple bug fixes I found to open source things. One was a pull request (the other was a jist so I left a comment and it was fixed).
I was respectful and things went well. They were minor fixes but I felt they’d be useful to others. But reading this comment I feel like I got Lucky I wasn’t ignored. Is there is some other way to report these issues back?

Edit: And here's an example of one of the shitty emails that Tahlreth kept receiving https://i.imgur.com/Oze5aYG.png
