If covid is gone, how can there be an outbreak? If covid is not gone, why did people act as if it were the last year or two? Or is it just China?

But it is okay for VP Biden to mock President Trump as “xenophobic” over China and COVID.

What changed?

> travel restrictions based on favoritism and politics rather than a risk will be counterproductive

Are these travel restrictions based on favoritism and politics; or risk?

> Effective Sunday, June 12 at 12:01 a.m. EDT, the CDC rescinded its Order requiring all airline or other aircraft passengers to show a negative COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 to board any aircraft destined to the United States from a foreign country. Of note, CDC’s Order requiring proof of vaccination for non-U.S. citizen nonimmigrants to travel to the United States is still in effect. For more information see Requirement for Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination for Air Passengers.

The xenophobia passage: https://youtu.be/aAdzW-mRKTk?t=18

> but neither should we panic or fall back on xenophobia labeling Covid 19 a foreign virus

Terms such as: "kung flu" and "Chinese Virus" fall into that category of xenophobia.

Trump again uses racially insensitive term to describe coronavirus - https://wapo.st/3ju4v8l

> “Wuhan. Wuhan was catching on, coronavirus, kung flu,” he said, repeating it as the crowd roared. “I could give you many, many names. Some people call it the Chinese flu, the China flu, they call it the China.”
