Hard to say. I think Darklang isn't yet useful enough to know for sure (not enough users, for example).
Maybe a good way to think about it is whether Firebase would be better if it was source available. Probably for users it would be very helpful. But also not enough to make people choose it if it wasn't good.
I will say it's definitely a lot better for us and our users than if we were closed source. It makes a lot of things much much easier (I have half a blog post on it, ping me to read it)!
