It's already accounted for. Radiocarbon dating is calibrated to historical carbon-14 ratios measured from tree rings.

It's very interesting. It's been known for a while but they are narrowing the possible reasons with this new research.

Given it's perhaps a pandemic level of destruction, with 8% chance during a person lifetime and actually fun to research you'd think more would done.
