This is amazing! Idk how I missed it for so long. I love history in general, and specially Technology history. Thanks!

It's really nice to see all these people and hardware in photos, great website which I will show to friends and family.

My only gripe: Why include fiction, like Asimov's laws of robotics, or Robby the Robot? There are plenty of real life milestones to cover.

Is this a history of computers or the Apple product line? The history of Apple and computers is intertwined, no doubt, but there are other companies out there driving the industry. I notice Microsoft’s products like the Surface are missing completely, but they make note of marginal iPhone features like a higher resolution display being introduced in 2010. The descriptions read like they come directly from the Apple marketing department. Is this sponsored by Apple or something?

Just to follow up on both of those specific instances, the Surface came two years after the iPad, and retina display technology in 2010, as quoted "approached the limit of pixel visibility to the human eye". In both cases, Apple was a leader. Without those two entries, you've got "other tablets were later brought to market" and "displays continued at an incremental improvement in quality".

Tablets existed before the iPad. I owned one in 2005. I also think Microsoft itself entering the hardware biz was an important point in the history of computing. Apple Watch also wasn’t the first wristwatch computer but it got a mention as well. Seems like a trend on the whole piece. Then there’s the G5, which the history notes was “ hailed as the first true 64-bit personal computer.” That toes the Apple marketing line at the time precisely, but there was plenty of 64-bit hardware available before the G5 came out. Windows XP 64 bit edition was released prior, while OSX hardly even supported 64bit computing when the G5 was released. It was pure marketing hype.
