Is it just me or has there been a recent uptick in the number of companies starting up mailing lists and adding me to them when I never agreed to receive marketing material from them?
I haven't noticed anything outside the usual merger of spam lists that goes along with corporate consolidation. Don't bother with their "unsubscribe" links, which are just signals that they've found an active address. Just route their traffic directly to trash.
