Direct streaming links for those who don't want to use a web browser. Just give one of them to a network capable video player (VLC works fine).

Since those links are either dead or geolocked, note that you can play the official youtube stream in mpv/mpc directly (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JncMoFTn9xc), or pass it through livestreamer to play in any local player. https://docs.livestreamer.io/

Probably geolocked, I'm playing one of them right now and tested the other successfully again (both showing the same content btw). Thanks for the tip.

Excuse me, your links are indeed fine when loaded from a video player. That's odd, I don't recall akamai refusing to serve the hls manifest to browsers before. I wonder why they started doing that...

"Access denied" on both.

Did you feed them to a player? They're not intended to be clicked on a browser, I get the access denied error too if I click on either, but they play fine if I load them within a player. For example on VLC, select from menu: Media->Open Network stream, then paste one of the links and hit Play. Unless they're restricted in your area they should play fine.

It’d be nice to show schedule times according to browser’s timezone. Or a countdown timer at least. Im still not sure what Australian time it’d be.

Yes, we really need something better for global timing.

Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) serves this purpose.

That's easier if you are close to UTC. Most australians have no idea what UTC means.

Are you saying that understanding an UTC offset of 2h is significantly easier than understanding one of 10h?!

For human yes

And what day, today or yesterday, am, pm…

Its been tried... I actually had a watch with it built into it once.

everyone I tried to convert to it used to look at me funny and back away: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swatch_Internet_Time

That it has been tried as a marketing gimmick of a watch company does not exclude more serious attempts from trying.

I'm down for that... and with the prevalence of smart watches with custom faces etc it should be super easy to do and spread.

throw in some phone widgets and outlook addins and the world will make it work I'm sure

I have both the watch complication and a menu-bar app on my Macs, but then again I'm an astronomer who works in a world-wide collaboration.

Countdown timer is on the video. Currently sitting at about 6.5hrs.

about 8:30pm WST (Perth time)

Multiple launch issues including fueling and a an apparent "interflange crack" which doesn't sound good.

The loading of propellant was delayed by about an hour because of passing storms and the danger of lightning. Then a leak popped up in a hydrogen fuel line. That was resolved, and both propellant tanks have been filled in the rocket's core stage. Engineers are now investigating two other issues. The first is a possible “crack in an intertank flange.”

I'm suspecting a scrub is likely.

Watching live video, talk of "hydrogen team" assessing a situation. Information is not especially forthcoming.
