I used some lambda functions, but punching code in a proprietary environment does nothing aside from making you dependent on it. It seems to be not as smart solution to anything. if I integrate Alexa to an IOT device it can make sense. Otherwise you will create an unmanageable monster.
How do you test the code, how to you version it? What are your specifications on the environment the code is run in? It never sounds like a smart idea and proponents did not really elaborate too extensively. It makes sense for the provider of cloud solutions for obvious reasons. So are those that advertise serverless just poor victims?
