It's easy to simplify this to NFTs are a grift.

They are simple pointers to URLs.

They have no inherent value

They do not qualify as ownership of the resource

They are as much cryptocurrency related as Git. (I.e. they reside in a Blockchain.) No more than that.

Stay well away from them, they are a scam and a grift.

Sometimes I think they are an interesting way to support fledging content creators. Then again, Patreon, virtual tip jars, and other approaches already let you support creators.
