Remember Fresco grew up in a time when socially accepted people invented words like "cybernetics", "Dymaxion", "omnitriangulated", "magnetron", "transistor", "Comintern", and "sociobiology". Today it's socially acceptable to go around inventing acronyms, but probably in 80 years people will sneer at anyone who insists on naming their inventions things like "UAVs" and "SHORAD".

This may have something to do with why mostly only old people were interested: people are mostly guided by what is fashionable, so when someone is working on an angle that was fashionable forty years earlier, mostly only people who grew up when it was fashionable will pay attention.
