Fascinating, but not enough details. Waste heat could power a standard refrigeration cycle, but the "biomimicry" tease hints at more.

Their site is bombastic ("A system unlike anything ever designed") but detail-free. I'm more interested in cheap dehumidification, which I would have expected a Floridian company to mention.

There are almost no details. The "biomimicry" looks like the standard fluff around this kind of projects.

The only difference in the graphic between this and my air conditioner is that the air that is cooled to extract the humidity is used to refrigerate the compressed fluid. But this is an obvious improvement that I guess that all the dehumidifiers use it. Let's look in Google images https://www.google.com/search?q=dehumidifier+inside+diagram&... It looks pretty standard.

There are other red flags, like a long introduction about using it in the desert and then testing it in a humid site.

The part about waste heat is also dubious. The problem is the second law of thermodynamics. To do something useful you need something like electricity or heat at a high temperature, but most of the waste heat is at low temperature. It's possible to extract some work of it, but only a very small part. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waste_heat

My guess is that this project will be featured soon in the thunderf00t channel https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=thunderf00t+wat...
