I don't even know what to say. I cannot imagine enduring that for even a week. And has the company and manager not opened themselves up to significant legal liability?

I have spoken with friends who work at Netflix and they agree with the culture is fear that Netflix creates. One of my friends knows this particular manager and confirmed the allegations made in the article by A. St. James. I have another friend who had been fired from Netflix a few years back, and from what I heard, Netflix supported his bosses poor decisions as a manager. I wouldn't work at Netflix regardless how much they overpay their employees to keep them in submission.

I need to hear the story from the other side. But if this is true, this is a horrible boss to work with. I’m surprised how OP could endure working for more than a year. There’s no bad job, just bad manager. It’s quite easy to look up this person in Linkedin. Hint: his initials are reversed

HR's true mission is to defend the company (and its managers) from its employees.
