A quick 10 minute google shows there are a ton of mines around Pabineau, evidence of heavy metal contamination in the area, as well as historical spraying of chlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (CDDs) in the area.
Would be interesting to know whether the cluster are mostly first-nations who eat what they trap/catch.
