		Hi HN, I'm being assigned a new manager who is being promoted from an engineering role and is new to management. We worked together as engineers and this will continue after the promotion, as they'll continue to write code. I'll be the only report this person has, and we are the only two engineers on our team. What are some of the pitfalls to look out for in a situation like this and how can I make it a success?

Ask yourself if he/she is someone you'd want as a manager. I mean personality wise. Would they make a good manager, if they were not your manager?
