Ask HN: How do you provide technology support for elderly family members?

It's been very helpful to switch relatives from laptops to iPads, but still doesn't seem like enough. It usually ends with using an iPhone to FaceTime me the iPad screen. I'm investigating MDM solutions so I can remotely admin the iPad (keep it up to date, make sure no junk is installed, view the screen and provide feedback). But I can't be the only one in this situation. What have the rest of you come up with?
