I can’t believe that someone can create software, and doesn’t have an interest in some sort of software project.

Like an android developer or iOS dev who has never written an app.

Yes, it would be like a chef who never cooks. A nurse who doesn’t apply her own bandages.




Applying bandages is not as much work as developing most (hobby) software is, especially if the software comes with some expectation of support.


Any comparison or metaphor will probably be flawed.

If a person does not work on side projects I won't hold it against them, because I know good developers who don't.
