My co-founder kallsyms and I have just launched https://whize.co we provide specialized indexes and our custom ranking method to provide a better search experience. We're private by default (analytics are opt in) and serve our own indexes (100m+ pages and 40k+ sites so far.) We've been working on this for a while and are really excited to get it out to people!
