Trying out a web tool is much less easier and safer than installing and running a tool locally that could do anything on my computer.
If the tool looks and feels good on the web, it is much more likely that someone will install it locally.
I couldn't agree more. I actually deliberately used the XML DOM(Parser) API for SVG so that it could also run in the browser. I just haven't gotten around to creating a Web bundle yet, but I'll be adding that really soon.
