Based on my observations thus far, I have come to believe quite firmly that the progressive—a more accurate term than “liberal”—has a strong tendency toward censorship (and a flexible relationship to the truth in general). That being said, I believe just as firmly that this tendency is rooted in the very best of intentions, or is even a completely unconscious impulse that is wholly driven by the purest moral sentiment. I may find it extremely frustrating at times, but I only very rarely attribute it to malice.
