I'm not implying that Linux is worse than Windows/MacOS proprietary/closed software - I'm just saying that the mantra that open source is more secure by definition because everyone can read the code is apparently totally wrong.

Huh? Those 134 vulnerabilities were found because people can see the code. If it were closed source, they would probably still be there today.




Closed source software is not opaque, people study how it works all the time.
