Ask HN: What are some unsolved tooling problems in the cloud space?

I'm a sysadmin and hobby programmer (that used to do it professionally 8 years ago) who wants to reinvent himself and get a job as devops/SRE. I'd like to start something that might be useful for AWS/GCP community and to showcase my dev skills on github but my limited exposure in real life with these platforms makes it hard to think of such cases. For example automatically scaling IOPS for Dynamo was solved by dynamic-dynamodb and it was quite successful before AWS implemented it themselves. Do you have any pain points or "nice to have" things to share? Thank you!
