I commute about 1h each way via train. I have realized that music with lyrics distracts my brain quite a bit because it keeps trying to parse the text. Since I like to read on the train (or just do nothing and let my brain rest) I have created a playlist with no audio. It's pretty much everything from XMeetsMetal (you'll have to weed out some of the stuff that has text. It's basically a guy covering all sorts of songs/theme songs in a metal interpretation. That + noise canceling headphones (I use Bose QuietComfort 20) = good commute.
