I agree that Issues are pretty locked, but otherwise it's fine, and you don't have to use GitHub Issues to track work if you don't want to. CI is mostly drive around hooks, and those should be portable. The wiki is just a collection of Markdown documents, so you could pull those off and put them anywhere else you want. Ecosystems are tied by default, so not much you can do there I suppose. I agree with the sentiment, but i think the risk is worth it for a lot of people, and I say that hosting my own private GitLab server.
