People read too much into Tiobe. It bounces all over the place.


I also think the upward trend for Objective-C more interesting than the slight downward trend for Ruby, and I doubt it has anything to do with the inherent advantages of its syntax.


Are there good backend web frameworks for C, C++ or Java, with enough users and mind share that they won't die from lack of interest?
