I found lots of analog companies Googling for it but no references to Michelin being in the business. So, yeah, I'd be interested in a link about it and/or the story.



K, turns out it was actually Michigan Algorithm Decoder:

So, not quite as old-school as the analog days :-p


I was trying to imagine how an analogue component could be anything but a sensor for a mainframe in a factory or something. A programming language called MAD makes so much more sense. :)


Just googled it myself and found the same -- following up with her about the name.
